Job summary

Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering, an EIT or progress toward it, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook. A strong attention to detail and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• EIT certification or on track to obtain it.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, including wire sizing and current calculations.
• Knowledge of building codes, engineering principles and best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Commitment to safety and a strong sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Create preliminary BESS layouts and single line diagrams using templates.
• Perform review of bid drawings to internal standards and document differences.
• Review RFPs and evaluate against our standard designs; communicate unique specs.
• Work with Business Development and Estimating to respond to RFPs.
• Perform basic electrical calculations to support design.
• Create and modify electrical engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Research NEC and NFPA 855 and stay current on codes/standards.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Assist in preparation of technical reports, calculations, and specifications; maintain documentation.
