Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer I to develop preliminary BESS designs and review others’ designs. The role offers hybrid work with in-office presence in San Diego, CA, Edison, NJ, Bend, OR, or full remote options.

You'll collaborate across disciplines, support bid and RFP responses, and perform essential electrical calculations. The position requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, an EIT or progress toward it, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; EIT certification or on track to obtain it.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles and building codes.

Responsibilities

• BESS Design Support: Create preliminary BESS layouts and single line diagrams using templates and communicate differences.
