Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer I, BESS to create preliminary BESS layouts and review designs. The role supports engineering teams, and can be hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA, Edison, NJ, Bend, OR or fully remote.

You will perform basic electrical calculations and help prepare technical drawings and reports. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, be on track for or hold an EIT, and be proficient in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Teams,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• EIT certification or on track to obtain it.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Create preliminary BESS layouts and single line diagrams.
• Review bid drawings to internal standards and document differences.
• Evaluate RFPs against standard designs and communicate specs.
