Job summary

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, NV is seeking a Benefits Administrator who reports to the Corporate Director of Benefits to lead research, analysis and recommendations for improving our benefit programs.

The role oversees wellness initiatives, 401(k) plan administration, COBRA enrollment, open enrollment, and coordination with carriers. Requires 5+ years in HR/Benefits and 2+ years supervisory experience; Workday experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• A collegiate undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a related field of study.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with Department Managers, Team Members, and the general public.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of Benefits Administration and HR functions.
• Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
• Must be computer proficient, with strong knowledge of MS Office products and HRIS administration.
• Workday experience and knowledge preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources & Benefits Administration function.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs research and analysis to improve benefit program effectiveness.
• Creates and implements Wellness programs and initiatives to engage Team Members in healthy choices and effective benefit utilization management.
• Acts as liaison with various insurance carriers/brokers and reviews contracts for cost effectiveness and plan design recommendations.
• Coordinates with the Risk team to coordinate leave or injury status reports, including return to work initiatives.
• Oversees the administration of the 401k plan and COBRA enrollment processes.
• Serves as a contact for Atlantis Casino Resort Spa and Monarch Casino Black Hawk Team Members regarding health plan enrollments and questions.
• Provides guidance on return to work strategies and approves LOA cases.
• Coordinates annual open enrollment meetings and semi-annual Wellness Events.
• Handles monthly vendor billing, invoices, and status/enrollment changes in vendor systems and internal databases.
• Ensures ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA compliance and general HR regulatory adherence.
