Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a Belonging and Well-Being Champion to foster inclusion, health, and connection across membership and wellness experiences. This role blends frontline engagement with sales and service to welcome members, connect them to programs and people, and help them pursue wellness goals for lasting engagement.

As a frontline ambassador, you will promote memberships, conduct tours and follow-ups, and strive to exceed retention goals while supporting health

Qualifications

High school diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
1–2 years of experience in membership sales, customer service, or health and wellness coaching.
Current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Greet and engage members to connect them to Y programs, services, and community activities.
Promote membership, programs, and services through tours, outreach, and referrals to meet goals.
Conduct onboarding sessions and wellness consultations to help members set and reach healthy living goals.
Respond promptly to member inquiries and resolve issues with care and accountability.
Monitor fitness center activities to ensure safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming environment.
Assist in implementing health education initiatives, fitness challenges, and community wellbeing events.
Process memberships and payments accurately while maintaining data integrity.
