Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support K-12 students with intensive behavioral needs in educational settings.

The role involves implementing behavior plans, data tracking, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic supports. Earn between $18.00 and $22.00 per hour and join a team focused on positive outcomes within SESI’s PBIS framework.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required or preferred.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned student one-on-one per IEP goals with accommodations as needed.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Apply behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Use de-escalation techniques and crisis management when necessary to ensure safety.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment for social and behavioral skills development.
• Supervise students and ensure safe movement between locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent implementation of plans.
• Provide personal care support as needed based on student needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
