Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support K-12 students with special needs. You will work with teachers in small groups, monitor behavior, and reinforce learning using SESI’s PBIS framework CASE.

Experience with diverse learners is valued and training is provided. Postion offers structured professional development, paid training, and a competitive hourly wage between $20.00 and $22.00.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience with students with special needs in educational settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse students in small groups to deliver individualized support.
• Monitor behavior, track progress, and communicate with parents.
• Collaborate with teachers to provide customized behavior and academic support.
• Assist with large group activities, grading, and accommodations as needed.
• Utilize PBIS-informed strategies and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Supervise students and ensure safety during transitions.
