Job summary

Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System (SBHS) is seeking a Unit Coordinator to manage clerical functions on the nursing unit and support patient care. The role involves assisting with direct care for patients with medical and behavioral needs as directed by the treatment team, and supporting unit programming to carry over therapy, leisure activities, and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is REQUIRED.
• One year of experience working with a psychiatric patient population is preferred.
• Administrative experience is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• The Unit Coordinator manages the clerical functions of the nursing unit necessary to provide patient care.
• Assists in direct care and management of patients with medical and behavioral issues as directed by the treatment team.
• Assists with unit programming to facilitate therapy issues, leisure activities, and activities of daily living for patients on the unit.
