Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System (SBHS) seeks a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for a full-time, varied-shifts role in Streamwood, IL. You will work within the Treatment Team providing patient care, supervision, and milieu management across pediatric to adult populations depending on unit assignment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of behavioral health experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Diplomacy, discretion, and professional demeanor required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, therapeutic milieu with patient supervision across ages.
• Deliver crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation as needed.
• Assist with activities of daily living and group activities.
• Model appropriate behavior and collaborate with the treatment team under RN supervision.
