Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System (SBHS) is seeking a Unit Coordinator for a full-time, 10-hour shift role. The position focuses on managing clerical functions on the nursing unit to support comprehensive patient care within a psychiatric setting.

The role requires knowledge of dual diagnosis and mental health care, CPR/De-Escalation/Handle With Care certifications, and the ability to communicate effectively with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Education and experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience with a psychiatric patient population preferred.
• Licenses/certifications: valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manages clerical functions of the nursing unit to support patient care.
• Assists in direct care and management of patients with medical and behavioral issues as directed by treatment team.
• Supports unit programming to facilitate therapy issues, activities of daily living, and leisure on the unit.
