Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is hiring a Unit Coordinator to provide essential administrative and clerical support to clinical services in our crisis care unit. You will handle registration, insurance verification, and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize unit operations.

You will welcome visitors, manage the EHR, assist with involuntary processes, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of exceptional customer service experience.
• 3 years of clerical experience.
• Notary or ability to become a notary within 90 days.
• Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
• Background checks: Child Abuse, FBI, PA State Police.

Responsibilities

• Register individuals for services and verify Medicaid/insurance, schedule appointments.
• Coordinate with clinical team on patient concerns and dispositions.
• Greet visitors, manage logbook and visitor badges, maintain security.
• Oversee and update EHR episodes of care and coordinate discharge with facilities.
• Obtain and manage clinical records; relay information to physicians and staff.
• Assist with 302 involuntary processes as liaison between departments.
• Coordinate meals, equipment, and unit supplies for daily operations.
• Provide excellent customer service to families, visitors, and vendors.
• Answer and route calls; take messages to ensure smooth communication.
• Perform other duties to support unit operations.
