We're looking for a Behavioral Health Technician in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry, located in Gainesville, Virginia, United States.

Centria Health seeks Behavioral Health Technicians to work one-on-one with children and families with autism. Responsibilities include implementing learning programs, collecting data on behaviors, communicating with stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating with your direct supervisor. You will build trust and care within the child's home environment, typically within 15 minutes from your residence.

Our comprehensive paid behavioral health training will prepare you to support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and guide them through their developmental opportunities, including managing challenging behaviors. Under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will apply evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

What your day will look like:

• Providing one-on-one developmental and behavioral support in the child's home, adapting techniques to various behaviors and styles.
• Partnering with a BCBA to implement individualized intervention plans, which may include physical and mental exercises.
• Using evidence-based techniques to engage children through activities that may involve standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and occasionally carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds.
