We're looking for a Behavioral Health Technician in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry, located in Stafford, Virginia, United States.

Are you a compassionate caregiver with at least a high school diploma (or GED) residing in Stafford, VA?

Centria Health is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing learning programs, collecting data, communicating with stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating with your direct supervisor. You will build trust with children and families in their home setting within 15 minutes of your residence.

Our paid behavioral health training will prepare you to support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), guiding their developmental growth using evidence-based techniques under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will help teach communication, social, and daily living skills while managing challenging behaviors.

Your typical day:

• Provide individualized behavioral support in the child's home, adapting techniques to various behaviors and styles.
• Partner with a BCBA to implement personalized intervention plans, which may include physical and mental exercises.
• Use evidence-based techniques to engage children actively, involving physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and sometimes carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds.
