We're looking for a Behavioral Health Technician in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Lucas, Texas, United States.

Are you a compassionate caregiver with at least a high school diploma (or GED) living in Lucas, TX?

Centria Health seeks Behavioral Health Technicians to work one-on-one with children and families with autism. Your responsibilities include implementing learning programs, collecting data on behaviors, communicating with stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality, and meeting regularly with your supervisor. You will build trust with the child and family in their home, located within 15 minutes of your residence.

Our paid behavioral health training prepares you to support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and guide them through their developmental opportunities, including managing challenging behaviors. Under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social skills, and daily living skills.

What your day will look like:

• Providing one-on-one developmental and behavioral support in the child's home, adapting techniques to various behaviors and styles.
• Partnering with a BCBA to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans, which may include physical and mental exercises.
• Using evidence-based techniques to engage children through physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and occasionally carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds.
