The role involves direct observation, implementing care plans, facilitating activities, and accurate documentation. The position requires a high school diploma and at least two years in substance abuse or mental health settings, with crisis intervention skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in substance abuse and mental health setting.
• Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate and timely documentation and case notes.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support clients through direct observation and interaction, ensuring safety.
• Implement and follow individualized care plans and treatment protocols.
• Assist in development and facilitation of therapeutic activities and group sessions.
• Document client behavior, progress, and incidents accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to client care strategies.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment per health and safety regulations.
• Respond to emergencies with crisis intervention per protocols.
• Support onboarding and training of new staff by sharing expertise.
