Job summary

LifeStream is seeking a Behavioral Tech II to provide advanced support for individuals with behavioral health needs in a full-time Beverly Hills, FL site.

You will monitor clients, implement care plans, facilitate activities, document progress, and participate in team care decisions, with ongoing professional development and compliance with care standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Location: Citrus County - Access Center - MRT - Beverly Hills, FL 34465, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High School, Salary Range: $15.00, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Behavioral Health , Job Purpose: The Behavioral Tech II is responsible for providing advanced support and care to individuals with behavioral health needs. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and support to clients. The position requires a compassionate and professional approach to assist clients in achieving their treatment goals and improving their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support clients through direct observation and interaction, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Implement and follow individualized care plans and treatment protocols as directed by clinical staff.
• Assist in the development and facilitation of therapeutic activities and group sessions.
• Document client behavior, progress, and any incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ability to successfully complete initial and annual Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) physical restraint training and verbal de-escalation training.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of client care strategies.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed, following established protocols.
• Support the onboarding and training of new staff members by sharing expertise and knowledge.
• Continuously update skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Required Experience

• Minimum of One (1) years’ experience in substance abuse and mental health setting is required
• Desirable to have experience working with psychiatric or co-occurring consumers of all ages

• Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate and timely documentation and case notes.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and ethical standards in behavioral health services.
• Competency in utilizing technology and electronic health records for client management.
