Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology, psychology or related health field required.
• In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, minimum 5 years clinical experience.
• Master’s degree in counseling psychology or related field preferred.
• BLS accreditation required; crisis intervention training required.
• Active driver’s license may be required for operation of facility vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate structured therapeutic activities for patients on the assigned unit and shift.
• Provide leadership and guidance to unit staff to maintain a therapeutic milieu.
• Monitor patient status and collaborate with nursing leadership to ensure safety and de‑escalation.
• Coordinate and communicate with patients, families, physicians and related disciplines about program interventions.
• Assist with nursing tasks as needed and support daily living activities and mobility.
