Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville seeks a Behavioral Health Program Coordinator to plan and run structured therapeutic activities for patient groups across shifts. You will lead unit staff, monitor patient status, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu, coordinating with families, physicians, and other disciplines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in counseling psychology or related health field (Master’s preferred), plus BLS and crisis intervention training. A driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology or related health field required.
• In lieu of degree, minimum 5 years of clinical experience in the unit/field.
• Master’s degree preferred in counseling psychology or related behavioral health field.
• Active driver’s license authorization may be required by the department.
• BLS certification and crisis intervention training required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement structured therapeutic activities for patients by shift.
• Provide leadership and guidance to unit staff for programming and interventions.
• Monitor patient status and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
• Coordinate with patients, families, physicians, and health disciplines regarding needs.
