Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville is seeking a Behavioral Health Program Coordinator to plan and implement structured therapeutic activities across a shift. You will lead unit staff in programming, ensure a safe milieu, and coordinate care with families, physicians, and other health disciplines.

Required BLS certification and licensing, with a bachelor’s in counseling psychology or related field; a master’s is preferred. This role supports patient-centered care on site at Peace, Louisville.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology, psychology or closely related health field.
• Master’s degree in counseling psychology preferred.
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience if no bachelor’s degree.
• BLS certification required.
• Driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate structured therapeutic program activities for the assigned shift.
• Provide leadership to unit staff on programming and interventions.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu and de-escalate when needed.
• Coordinate with patients, families, physicians and health disciplines for interventions.
• Assist nursing staff with daily living activities and vital signs.
• Respond to crises and codes per policy.
