Job summary

UofL Health seeks a Program Coordinator for Peace Hospital, 3L Adolescent Psychiatry, days shift, to organize and implement structured activities for diverse patients. The role interfaces with families, physicians and nursing staff to maintain a therapeutic milieu and coordinate care plans.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in counseling psychology or related field, with 5 years clinical experience if no degree, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology, psychology or related health field required.
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience if Bachelor’s degree is not held.
• Master’s degree in counseling psychology or related field preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Crisis intervention training required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors therapeutic milieu and initiates structured interventions to engage patients.
• Provides leadership to unit staff and collaborates with nursing leadership on programming.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment and de-escalates when needed.
• Develops and implements therapeutic milieu activities and interventions.
• Intervenes for crisis or conflict resolution within the unit milieu during shifts.
• Coordinates with patients, families, physicians and other disciplines regarding needs.
