Job summary

Relief Mental Health in Illinois seeks a Clinical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support for our behavioral health clinics. You will assist providers with patient care tasks, administer and monitor Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments, support Spravato treatment services, and help maintain accurate patient records and workflows.

The role requires empathy, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Previous healthcare experience, preferably in behavioral health, is required.
• Ability to learn and maintain Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Valid CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain during training.
• Ability to obtain TMS administration certification within one month of employment (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional, empathetic patient care and front-desk support.
• Greet patients and assist visitors upon arrival.
• Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
• Review and assist with patient paperwork for accuracy.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic and treatment areas.
• Prepare and stock examination rooms and maintain supplies.
• Assist with TMS and Spravato administration and monitoring.
• Document treatment and clinical information in the EHR.
• Coordinate communication between TMS Manager, providers, patients, and leadership.
