Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, following individualized intervention plans under a BCBA's supervision. The role involves teaching communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.

Applicants should be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team; training is provided, and duties may include lifting up to 50 pounds. Pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Collaborate with a BCBA and multidisciplinary team to support progress
• Ensure safety and adapt activities to each child’s needs
• Participate in comprehensive training provided by the company
