Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional/behavior aide to support a student with an IEP in a school setting. You will work one-on-one, help implement behavior plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to reinforce positive skills.

You’ll assist with personal care, supervise transitions, transport when needed, and communicate with parents. The role requires patience, reliability, and the ability to de-escalate when necessary to keep students

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience in educational settings with behavioral interventions preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet goals in the IEP, with accommodations as needed.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior plans and record data on behaviors and progress.
• Utilize behavior support strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Provide personal care support as needed and supervise transitions.
• Transport students to and from school as required.
• Communicate effectively with parents and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
