Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in K-12 settings. You will work one-on-one with students, implement behavior plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic guidance and success.

The role involves data tracking, de-escalation, and safely assisting with student needs in a dynamic educational environment, with an emphasis on inclusive practices and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience applying behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs.
• Ability to engage one-on-one with students and support IEP goals.
• Experience in educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one on one with an assigned student to meet IEP goals and provide accommodations as needed.
• Develop and modify behavior support plans as directed.
• Implement behavior support strategies and record data on progress and incidents.
• Use de-escalation techniques and crisis management to ensure safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent plan implementation.
• Provide personal care support as required and communicate with parents.
