Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs under IEPs.

You will work one-on-one, implement behavior plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes. Responsibilities include recording progress, applying de-escalation strategies, assisting with personal care needs, and communicating with parents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience in educational settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet IEP goals and provide accommodations/modifications.
• Develop and modify behavior support plans.
• Implement plans and record progress and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and crisis management as needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide personal care support as required.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
