Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in in-district classrooms or standalone settings.

You will work one-on-one and in small groups, implement behavior plans, collect data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help students meet IEP goals. Training is provided and a strong benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions.
• Ability to work with diverse students.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• One-on-one with assigned student to meet IEP goals and provide accommodations.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans; record data on behaviors and progress toward goals.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management to ensure safety.
