Job summary

SESI in Norwalk, CT is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs under an IEP. You will implement behavior plans, collect data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and experience in education preferred.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs is a plus.
• Ability to work in diverse, collaborative multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a student to meet IEP goals and provide accommodations.
• Develop and modify behavior support plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Record data on behaviors and progress and apply de-escalation techniques when needed.
• Support student safety and supervise during transit to locations.
• Communicate effectively with parents and school staff.
