Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs under IEPs in district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will work one-on-one with a student, implement behavior plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help individuals reach their goals while maintaining a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in an educational setting implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet IEP goals.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans and track data on progress and incidents.
• Utilize and apply de-escalation techniques and crisis management when needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and monitor students at all times.
• Communicate effectively with parents and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
