Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in in-district classrooms or standalone schools.

You will work one-on-one under IEP guidance, helping students develop life skills and positive behavior. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement behavior support plans, track progress, and maintain safe environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with behavioral interventions preferred in educational settings.
• Must be 19 or older per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned student as outlined in their IEP, providing accommodations and modifications as needed.
• Develop and modify behavior support plans in collaboration with the team.
• Record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and crisis management to ensure safety.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and model appropriate social/behavioral skills.
• Supervise students and ensure safe movement to and from locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans.
• Provide personal care support as needed and communicate effectively with parents.
