Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional to support teachers in delivering individualized services to diverse students. You will work with small groups, monitor progress, and reinforce skills using SESI's model.

You will collaborate with teachers, conduct assessments, and assist with daily plans while utilizing behavior support strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students in delivering individualized services and support.
• Lead small group instruction and implement the SESI academic rotational model.
• Partner with the teacher to provide customized behavioral and academic support and conduct assessments.
• Reinforce learning by assigning tasks, using data to tailor materials, and conducting tutorials.
• Assist the teacher with large group activities, grading, and guiding independent study.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies to maintain student safety.
