Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is a premier provider of education services for K-12 students requiring additional supports. Join our team as an assistant teacher to collaborate with the teacher and deliver individualized services in small groups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor's degree highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction as you implement the SESI academic rotational model.
• Partner with the teacher in providing customized behavior and academic support.
• Reinforce learning by assigning tasks and using data to tailor materials.
• Assist the teacher with large group activities, grading, and accommodations as needed.
• Utilize behavior support and de-escalation techniques to ensure safety.
