Job summary

Cherry Creek School District seeks a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing the child care program. The role emphasizes building community relations, supervising students, and promoting quality programming within the district.

Responsibilities include enforcing licensing requirements, developing engaging activities, and supporting professional development while maintaining safe conditions for all participants.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Leader must be age 18 or over.
• At least three months (455 hours) of verified experience caring for four or more children under four.
• Current early childhood credential level I (or higher) in version 3.0 as determined by the state.
• At least 15 clock hours of training each year (June 1 – May 31).
• Knowledge of most aspects of childcare.
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate discipline procedures.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all licensing requirements; daily duties and safety compliance.
• Supervise and engage with students during program hours.
• Maintain safe conditions for students and staff.
• Promote and market the before/after care program.
• Assist in implementing quality lesson plans and activities.
• Attend monthly program staff meetings and participate in trainings.
