Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• The Leader must be age 18 or over.
• At least three months (455 hours) of verified care experience with four or more children.
• An Early Childhood Credential Level I or higher may substitute experience.
• Annual 15 clock hours of training required.
• Knowledge of most aspects of childcare.
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate discipline procedures.
• Some leadership and management skill required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follow licensing requirements; ensure daily operations comply.
• Supervise and engage with students during program hours.
• Communicate with parents, students, staff, and district personnel.
• Maintain safe conditions for all participants and staff.
• Promote the program for before/after care and full days.
• Assist with professional development trainings as required.
• Assist to implement quality lesson plans for each operation day.
• Assist with maintenance and storage of equipment and supplies.
• Contribute ideas for enrichment activities and program quality.
• Create and implement activities and field trips for full-day programming.
• Attend monthly program staff meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
