Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing a high-quality childcare program. You will work with families and staff to promote strong community relations and support daily activities and programming.

The role requires adherence to licensing rules, supervision of students, and collaboration with school personnel to deliver safe, engaging, and enriching experiences for children in before and after care and full-day

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• Age 18 or over
• At least three months (455 hours) of verified childcare experience
• Annual training: at least 15 clock hours (June 1–May 31)
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
• Knowledge of most aspects of childcare
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate discipline procedures
• Leadership and management skills
• Ability to make appropriate decisions and solve problems effectively
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce Colorado licensing requirements.
• Supervise and engage with students during program times.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, school staff, and district staff.
• Maintain safe conditions for students and staff.
• Promote and market the program for before/after care and full days.
• Attend professional development trainings as required by licensing and district.
• Assist in implementing quality lesson plans and activities.
• Support maintenance and proper storage of equipment and supplies.
• Contribute ideas for enrichment activities and field trips.
• Participate in monthly staff meetings and other duties as assigned.
