Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks an energetic Before and After School Leader to support the program director in planning and implementing childcare services. You will help build positive relations with families and school staff while ensuring high-quality programming.

The role emphasizes supervision, safety, communication, and ongoing professional development to meet licensing requirements and district expectations.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have completed at least one of the following qualifications: 3 months (455 hours) supervised childcare experience or an Early Childhood Credential Level I or higher (Version 3.0).
• Each year, June 1 through May 31, the leader must complete at least 15 clock hours of training.
• Knowledge of most aspects of childcare.
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate discipline procedures.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions and to solve problems effectively.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces Colorado licensing requirements.
• Supervises and engages with students during program times.
• Communicates effectively with parents, students, staff and district.
• Maintains safe conditions for all students and staff.
• Promotes and markets the program for before/after care and full days.
• Attends professional development trainings as required.
• Assists to implement quality daily lesson plans for the program.
• Assists with maintenance, storage and repair of equipment.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities and program quality.
• Creates and implements activities and field trips for full day programming.
• Attends monthly program staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
