Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing a high-quality child care program. The role emphasises strong community relations among families and school staff while promoting engaging and safe activities for children.

The position supports daily operation, coaching, and development of learners, with a focus on safety, communication, and collaborative teamwork, in a school-based setting.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting completed.
• Must be age 18 or over.
• Ability to work with children in a structured program.
• Experience in childcare or after-school settings preferred.
• Ability to develop and implement discipline procedures.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces all Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements.
• Supervises students directly during program times.
• Maintains open and clear communication with parents, students, and staff.
• Maintains safe conditions for all students and staff.
• Markets and promotes the before/after care program to families and the community.
• Participates in professional development trainings as required by licensing and district.
• Assists in creating and implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
• Assists with equipment maintenance and proper storage.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities and field trips.
• Attends monthly program staff meetings and performs other duties as assigned.
