Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers seeks an Educational Support Personnel to supervise students in a school-based child care program under qualified leadership. You will promote positive relations with families and the school community while supporting structured activities and safety.

The role requires flexible duties, adherence to procedures, and ongoing collaboration with staff. Training hours and background checks are mandatory to ensure eligibility and readiness for daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Assistants must work directly under supervision of director or leader.
• Each year of employment, complete at least 15 clock hours of training.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Must demonstrate ability to work with school age children.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Active supervision of students in the school-based child care program under guidance of a leader, assistant director or director.
• Develops and promotes good community relations among community and school clientele.
• Completes tasks assigned by director, assistant director, or leader.
• Follow procedures as stated in the ECS Procedures Manual.
• Participates and plays with students in structured and unstructured activities.
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff.
• Follows program discipline policies and procedures.
• Assists with maintenance, storage, and repair of equipment, materials and supplies.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities, curriculum, and program quality.
• Demonstrates excellent communication with parents, students, school staff and co workers.
• Follows district policies and uses district facilities with care.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
