Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an assistant to actively supervise students in the school-based child care program under the guidance of a qualified leader. The role focuses on fostering community relations among families and school staff while ensuring a safe, engaging environment after school.

Requires minimum 16 years old, ability to follow procedures, strong communication, First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days, and successful background checks.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old.
• Direct supervision under director/leader.
• Annual training: minimum 15 clock hours.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Current First Aid and CPR or able to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to work with school-age children.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the after-school program under guidance.
• Follow procedures in the ECS Procedures Manual.
• Engage students in structured and unstructured activities.
• Maintain safe conditions for students and staff.
• Enforce program discipline policies and procedures.
• Assist with maintenance and storage of equipment and supplies.
• Contribute ideas for enrichment activities and curriculum.
• Communicate with parents, students, staff and coworkers.
• Use district facilities with care and follow district goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
