Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Beef Shoppe Manager to supervise the beef shoppe/seafood department, ensuring guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations meet company standards, and to step in for the Department Manager when needed.

You will train staff, manage inventory and pricing, maintain product quality and safety, and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact well with guests.
• Effective selling skills and an outgoing personality.
• Ability to work with others and train staff.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations.
• Ability to supervise people and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Beef Shoppe/Seafood staff and ensure friendly guest interactions.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink control, and gross profits.
• Prepare products for sale (cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, pricing).
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure in-stock conditions.
• Operate department according to merchandising and operational guidelines.
• Maintain quality and freshness; ensure products are in date.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in work areas and prep spaces.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to staff.
• Perform product prep, receiving, stocking, and guest service as needed.
• Manage department labor budget and scheduling to maximize sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
