Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Beef Shoppe Manager to supervise the beef shoppe/seafood department, ensuring guest service excellence, merchandising programs, and department operations meet targets. The role includes training staff, managing inventory, and stepping in for the Department Manager when needed.

Responsibilities cover all facets from product prep and pricing to labor budgeting and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and selling skills.
• Ability to supervise and train department staff.
• Strong guest service orientation and communication.
• Comfortable working in a cold environment.
• Able to lift 50 lbs occasionally and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests are greeted politely and selling environment is created.
• Meet budgeted sales, gross profits, and shrink targets for Beef Shoppe and seafood.
• Prepare meat products to Lowes Foods standards (cutting, wrapping, weighing, pricing).
• Maintain inventory levels and arrange proper ordering to keep in stock.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operating guidelines.
• Maintain high quality and freshness of products and ensure dating controls.
• Ensure safety and sanitation in meat/seafood prep areas and sales floor.
• Provide guidance and training to Beef Shoppe staff to achieve performance standards.
• Perform product prep, receiving, stocking, and guest service as needed.
• Manage labor budget and scheduling for optimal sales and guest service.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
