Job summary

Quince seeks a Director of Bedding & Mattresses in San Francisco to scale bedding and launch mattresses, owning category strategy and driving revenue growth.

You will work across sourcing, product development, marketing, and operations to optimize assortments, improve margins, and ensure sustainable, high-quality materials.

This hands-on, data-driven leader collaborates with cross-functional teams in a fast-growing, customer-obsessed business.

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of progressive leadership experience in Home Textiles Merchandising.
• 5+ years management experience with track record of progression in roles.
• Strong track record of identifying winning products, developing compelling assortments, and driving category growth.
• Product obsessed with experience leveraging data tools and external sources to anticipate customer needs (both the "science" and the "art" of retail merchandising).
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to align merchandising, marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to deliver a cohesive bedding strategy.
• Strategic and data-driven thinker with a bias for action and strong commercial acumen.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scale Quince’s Bedding category with a curated assortment and launch Mattress category.
• Leverage data and customer insights to optimize assortment and meet financial goals.
• Identify whitespace and expand into new product types including fabric blends and sleep health solutions.
• Collaborate with sourcing and product development to launch new products focusing on performance and sustainability.
• Build SOPs for product consistency across multiple vendors and ensure cross-functional alignment.
• Partner with marketing, site, and creative teams for compelling product launches.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to remove roadblocks and advocate for the customer.
• Operate as a data-driven commercial leader coordinating with sourcing, planning, QA, ops, and marketing to accelerate growth.
