Job summary

Motorola Solutions, through its Silvus Technologies unit, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements, supporting field trials and demonstrations across hostile environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and business development, requiring 2–5 years in defense tech or systems engineering, plus U.S. citizenship and security clearance readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field.
• Alternative: High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and communicate requirements to bridge them with radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configure, and execute field trials and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Business Development to ensure technically sound architectures.
• Support technical demonstrations for low-signature, resilient tactical edge operations.
• Assist in preparing responses to RFIs/RFPs and identify partner integrations.
