Job summary

Cross Country Education in Maryland is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join a single-school site in Frederick. The role focuses on developing and overseeing individualized behavior plans, conducting FBAs, and collaborating with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student success.

You will train and coach school staff on behavior management and crisis de-escalation, monitor progress, and contribute to IEP meetings.

Qualifications

• FBAs and BIPs experience required.
• Strong knowledge of ABA principles and behavior management.
• Experience working with K-12 students with autism and behavioral needs preferred.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supervising RBTs or behavior support staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor BIPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans.
• Conduct FBAs and analyze data to guide interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, school administrators, counselors, and related service providers.
• Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to school staff on behavior management strategies, crisis prevention, and de-escalation techniques.
• Monitor student progress, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and adjust behavioral strategies as needed.
• Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), emotional disabilities, ADHD, and other behavioral needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute behavioral recommendations and documentation.
• Support crisis prevention and intervention efforts, including implementation of appropriate safety protocols.
