Job summary

Jobot in Dallas–Fort Worth seeks an experienced BAS Sales Engineer to grow our building automation business. You will engage building owners, mechanical contractors, engineers, and facilities teams to develop practical energy management and control solutions for commercial facilities.

You will guide opportunities from discovery through proposal, negotiation, and handoff, leveraging knowledge of BACnet, DDC, and HVAC systems to deliver value and long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in BAS/BMS, HVAC controls, DDC controls.
• Understand commercial HVAC equipment and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with BACnet and DDC control systems.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and sequences of operation.
• BAS estimating, applications or project management is valued.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Develop new BAS and HVAC controls opportunities throughout the DFW market.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, contractors, engineers, facility managers and partners.
• Meet with customers to understand facilities, existing controls and project goals.
• Identify BAS upgrades, retrofits, new installations, service agreements and energy solutions.
• Review plans and scope to define project requirements.
• Perform site walks to gather information for accurate solutions.
• Collaborate with estimating, engineering, operations and projects teams on proposals.
• Present proposals and explain technical solutions clearly.
• Manage opportunities from initial contact to handoff.
• Maintain relationships after sale and identify further opportunities.
