Job summary

Jobot in Nashville is seeking an experienced BAS Sales Engineer to expand building automation and controls in the Nashville and Middle Tennessee market. The role blends technical BAS knowledge with relationship-driven sales, engaging with building owners, mechanical contractors, engineers, and facility teams to identify opportunities and deliver practical energy management solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with BAS/BMS or HVAC controls.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, specs and sequences.
• Experience in BAS sales, estimating, or project management.
• Strong customer-facing and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new BAS and HVAC controls opportunities in Middle Tennessee.
• Build relationships with building owners, contractors, engineers, facility managers, and partners.
• Identify opportunities for BAS installations, upgrades, retrofits, service agreements, and energy solutions.
• Meet with customers to understand existing systems, facility challenges, and project goals.
• Review plans, specifications, sequences of operation, and mechanical systems.
• Perform site walks and assist with developing project scope.
• Collaborate with estimating, engineering, project management, and field teams to craft solutions and proposals.
• Present proposals and technical solutions to customers.
• Manage opportunities from initial contact to negotiation and handoff.
• Grow existing accounts and foster long-term relationships.
