Hotel Millwright in Amana, IA seeks a dedicated Banquet Supervisor to oversee planning and execution of events, ensuring exceptional service and smooth operations within a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You will lead a dynamic banquet team, collaborate with clients and internal teams to meet event specs, manage timelines, and uphold safety and quality standards while driving guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet or event management, supervisory preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or related degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all banquet event operations, including setup, service, and cleanup.
• Lead and motivate banquet staff to deliver high-quality service and maintain standards.
• Collaborate with clients and event planners to understand their needs and ensure event specifications are met.
• Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Management and Sales teams to ensure seamless service flow during events and daily operations.
• Monitor event timelines and ensure all aspects of the banquet are executed efficiently.
• Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies required for events.
• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist in training and developing banquet staff to enhance performance and teamwork.
