Job summary

Marriott Norfolk Waterside in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Banquet Server. You will provide high-quality service to guests, maintain correct table settings, and assist with Food & Beverage service in banquet environments.

The role requires standing for up to 8 hours, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays. Prior banquet or liquor service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Ability to carry a large oval tray with 6 covered dinners (~20 lbs).
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs; push/pull carts up to 150 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with high-quality service in a timely, courteous manner.
• Know proper table settings and Food and Beverage service standards.
• Work within banquet settings including indoor and outdoor areas, in variable temperatures and noise.
• Be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
