Job summary

Norfolk Yacht and Country Club is seeking reliable Banquet Servers to join our events team. You will help deliver memorable experiences at weddings, corporate events, galas, and private parties, handling setup, service, and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include setting up rooms, serving courses, gre eting guests, and assisting with breakdowns while adhering to safety and service guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, catering, or restaurant experience preferred, but not required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift trays, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms and tables per event specifications.
• Greet guests warmly and respond to their needs promptly and professionally.
• Serve plated meals and beverages or manage buffet lines.
• Clear plates, glassware, and service items throughout the event.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas.
• Communicate with kitchen staff and banquet captains about guest needs.
• Assist with event breakdown and resetting for future events.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
• Handle guest requests and concerns politely.
