Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to lead the banquet team, oversee service for events, and ensure adherence to hotel standards. You will train staff and coordinate with Catering, Sales, AV and kitchen teams to deliver memorable events.

The role emphasizes guest-focused service, inventory management, and accurate billing, with a commitment to safety and brand guidelines during all banquet operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise banquet staff, servers, bar porters and bartenders to ensure high service standards.
• Plan and schedule function details to maximize room coverage and timings.
• Instruct team on function setup, floor plans and station sheets.
• Oversee banquet room setups according to BEOs and brand standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and equipment.
• Coordinate with Catering/Sales, AV, Kitchen and Chef teams to ensure smooth events.
• Document coaching sessions and send HR documentation timely.
• Ensure daily shift recap and accurate banquet charges in POS.
• Maintain inventory of tools and products and manage supplies.
