Job summary

Riverside-Casino- in Iowa is seeking an Assistant Banquet Manager to lead the Front-of-House team and ensure exceptional guest experiences at banquet events. You will assist the Banquet Manager with day-to-day operations, uphold service standards, and coach Supervisors, Captains, and Servers.

The role requires strong organization, multitasking, and people skills, with duties spanning scheduling, payroll, budgeting, and compliance. A ServSafe certification and an Associate’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certified or equivalent required or ability to obtain.
• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive Banquet knowledge preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organization and multi-tasking/forecasting abilities.
• Good driving record; ability to be covered to drive company vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple functions, projects and events simultaneously.
• Maintain and implement service standards for the department.
• Assist with budgeting and cost-related expenditures for the FOH department.
• Assist with scheduling and payroll for the FOH; meet forecast and financial goals.
• Ensure FOH department compliance with health, internal controls and regulations.
• Develop banquet FOH team and provide evaluations and coaching.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory of work areas and equipment.
• Set up food and beverage in an appealing manner and assist in service.
